Welcome to How to Create a Web Page. Here I will show you step- by-step how to create your first web page and get it online. You will also learn how to do distinguish between a web page and a website.
People have been creating web pages from around the early 90s. Web Pages back then were extremely simple, as most were just plain black text with a white background. Webpages back then were definitely not as visually appealing as they are today but it was an amazing accomplishment if you were able to create your own web page.
Two decades ago, only a minority of people had the knowledge on how to create web pages. Today, millions of people are able to do it effortlessly and have put up tonnes of web pages online.
Web Page development at first may be a bit scary but after you have gotten the hang of it you will start to see how easy and fun it actually is.
What Do You Need to Create a Web Page?
Before you can start creating your own web pages, you will need a few things. You will need notepad (can found on your computer) or a web development software. Web Development software makes it way easier and faster to develop web pages but it is recommended that as a beginner you should start out from scratch using Notepad. The reason being is that, If you have no clue on how to create a web page, a web development software would be practically useless to you.
The second thing you will need is a basic knowledge of Hypertext Markup Language(HTML). Please do not become scared by this as I will teach you this here. HTML is very easy and fun to learn.
The third and final thing that you will need is dedication. If you are not willing to dedicate time to practicing, I recommend that you leave as this is not something that I expect you to get fully overnight but through hours of practice.
